Waubonsie Mental Health's Mission Statement:


It is the mission of the WaubonsieMentalHealthCenter to empower people to achieve their hopes, dreams, and quality of life goals by delivering quality, integrated, trauma-informed behavioral health care.

 

Values:

 

WMHC staff will create a welcoming atmosphere in which people are treated with dignity and respect to ensure their full engagement and participation in the life of their community.

 

Services and supports will be based on the strengths, needs, and choices of individuals and their families, and will reflect a culturally sensitive and holistic approach in an ever-changing environment.

 

WMHC will provide early intervention to treatment and services whenever possible.

 

WMHC staff will engage families in the full involvement and participation, along with the development and utilization of other natural and community support systems as key elements in achieving positive outcomes for each individual.

 

WMHC will educate individuals, families, public officials, employers, the medical community, and other community members to promote wellness and recovery.

 

WMHC will be good stewards of resources to ensure individuals receive efficient and effective treatment and services.

 

WMHC staff embrace a philosophy of hope, wellness and recovery.

 

WMHC staff will advocate for accessible, community- based quality integrated behavioral health care.





Waubonsie Mental Health Center also provides Integrated Home Health Services  for adults and children. 

Whole Health is a person’s entire well-being. A focus on total health includes:

The IHH team works with you and your providers to:

  • Help you create a holistic plan for your medical and wellness goals

  • Help you manage your physical and behavioral health services

  • Focus on your choices, your strengths, good health and total wellness

  • Help arrange transportation to healthcare appointments if needed

  • Provide support services for you and your family members

  • Make sure you have access to care 24 hours a day

  • Use technology to link all services

  • Promote recovery and resiliency

History
Waubonsie Mental Health Center was started in 1984, originally to provide care for Page, Fremont, and Mongomery County residents.  We now serve a nine county region.
